Inthe book Spiral Dynamics, Don Beck and Christopher Cowan write, “New times produce new thinking”. At the Center for Conscious Living, we know that new times require a new level of consciousness and new forms, structures and relationships that will solve the challenges we are experiencing as a human community on planet earth. We are committed to practically helping people evolve in consciousness and at the same time, be a part of solving our community’s greatest challenges:

poverty, stress and relational violence.

There is no doubt that we are in the process of downloading the next level of consciousness that will drive our future growth as a human species. Today, the question is: Will we choose growth in consciousness this time or will we choose to experience a painful breakdown of ourselves and our planet? We have been provided with many opportunities to step up in consciousness as a human race in the past.

As a collective, we have most often chosen to be content in living with the pathologies of the current egoic (me only) and ethnocentric (me and those who believe like I do) level of consciousness that is creating untold divisiveness between people and violence on our planet.

Here at the Center, we decided to do something new. We chose to co-create a spiritual home where worldcentric (all of us together) people who do want to grow in consciousness can take vital and life-giving classes to grow up and through four levels of consciousness in eight lines of human development.

Our Sunday consciousness study held weekly from 11 am to 1 pm through March 11th will be “Core Energy”. Starting March 18th, we will be doing a study on peace using the book, Peace with Every Breath by Thich Nhat Hanh. On Sunday, March 25th, the Center Community Choir will be singing music of “Peace” to help us all better embody the spiritual quality of peace.

Coming in June, we will begin Evolutionary Circles at the Center in which all people are invited to gather as community to be a part of a planetary birth process coming in December 2012. To inquire about these circles please call 505-343-8001.

In this year of the great shift in consciousness, we welcome all people to grow with us in lifting the level of consciousness of humanity for the express purpose of ending poverty and relational violence in our lifetime. May you know peace and well-being in each and every moment.
